Sofia Pacheco

Sofia Pacheco is Vice President, Head of Strategy and Portfolio Development at NewVale Capital.

Prior to joining NewVale, Sofia spent nearly a decade at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, including through its acquisition by AstraZeneca, where she led and supported business development and M&A transactions across rare disease and specialty indications. Her transaction experience includes acquisitions, collaborations, licenses, and equity investments representing more than $10 billion in announced value. Earlier in her career, Sofia was Vice President of Strategic Planning at BioChemics.

Sofia holds a BA in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA, cum laude, from Babson College.
